A carte de visite published by the London Stereoscopic Company.

The above photograph was signed on the reverse (see picture at the bottom of the page) and given to a fan called Charles Fred O'Leary; the inscription reads: 'To C. F. O'Leary from H. G. Neville as Henry Dunbar, Sent by my direction...'

In 1865, aged only 28 (Dunbar is considerably older), he starred in Tom Taylor's adaptation of Braddon's novel Henry Dunbar, with Kate Terry as Margaret Wentworth.

From 1873 - 1879 Neville was the lessee of the Olympic and produced many successful plays, including revivals of Lady Audley's Secret and Henry Dunbar.
