1850s Daguerreotype of a Young Woman with Ringlets

A sixth plate daguerreotype of a young woman with ringlets - though her ringlets on one side are beginning to lose their shape.
This picture must have meant a great deal to someone, as the case has been carefully polished over the years; which makes it all the sadder that her identity is lost in time.
