DRAMA, IN TWO ACTS.

BY
WILLIAM E. SUTER

Aurora Floyd, A Drama in Two Acts, Adapted from Miss Braddon's Popular Work of the Same Title.
A limited edition paperback of 150 numbered copies of the 1863 play, originally performed at the Queen's Theatre in 1863. Suter was a prolific playwright, producing numerous melodramas and comedies, including a play Braddon herself acted in as a young actress.
Braddon did not authorise Suter's adaptation of Aurora Floyd, and she and her publisher failed in their court case to prevent publication of the play.
Contains a note on the author, a bibliography of 51 Victorian plays (many of which were previously unrecorded) adapted from novels by Braddon, and details of 26 Victorian actresses who played Aurora Floyd.
