An ambrotype of tailor David Staton standing outside his shop in Kingsthorpe

In the window can be seen collars, cuffs, ties and trousers for sale.
David John Staton (1863-1929) was born in Portsmouth in 1863 and he married
Emily Bertha Ball in 1887.

In 1901 his address was 14 Shelley Street, and he was living with his wife Emily, 11 year old daughter Letty (later Letty Gibson (1889-1980), and father Thomas (a retired tailor).
